Timing delivered 60 food baskets to former employees who are now unemployed.
This initiative was designed to “make up for the difficulties that some of the company’s former employees, who are still unemployed, are going through”.
In total, 60 people were supported who met the requirements – to have worked with the company for the last two years, for a period of one month or more, and to be without a job or state support at the moment.
We immediately joined forces with a number of Algarve companies in the food industry, contributing to an extra boost to the support initially planned.
One of the company’s mottos is “to position ourselves side by side with social responsibility – one of our main pillars – at environmental, animal and community level”.
For this reason, and at a time when all help is important, not least because the pandemic is still present among us all, we have decided to give a gift to employees who have worked with us in the recent past, and who, for reasons of force majeure, are currently unemployed and without monetary support.
In this case, the establishments that contributed to this initiative were Armazém Integral, Vila Sabores and Mini Mercado A Mochiqueira, in Portimão, Padaria da Ponte, in Vila Nova de Cacela, Padaria Madeira’s Pão Quente, in Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, Mini Preço, in Tavira, Mini Mercado Nídia, in Olhão, Padaria Reis do Pão, in Loulé, and Pastelaria Trigo Dourado, Pastelaria Arco Íris and Michel Barras, in Faro. What’s more, thanks to this joint effort, we were able to double our donations and we also helped two other associations: MAPS and Refood.
