Interview
In an interview there is no second chance to leave a good image. Present yourself in the best way in a job interview, because in addition to your resume and the answers you give to questions, the way you present yourself is also evaluated by whoever is interviewing. Smart people shouldn’t judge respondents by their appearance, however, we all know that first impressions are very important.
There are details that can ruin an interview, so pay close attention to the following:
Clothes
The first thing to be careful about is the clothes to wear, with some even considering that buying clothes on purpose to go to job interviews is an excellent investment. Clothes must not have any sweat marks, they must be well ironed and don’t forget to remove the tags.
To avoid in women: very short skirts, accentuated necklines and bold socks;
To avoid in men: dark clothes and shoes with white socks and a shirt with stains;
Clothes that err on the side of excess, too loose or too tight, are not at all advisable, and be careful with the colors, no exaggeration!
Want to be remembered for your skills and not for the clothes you wore.
Shoes
You should only wear flip-flops if the application is for a beach bar, or something similar, otherwise, depending on the role, the ideal will be elegant shoes or well-kept sneakers. Shoes can be pretty, but if they’re all dirty, someone will probably notice, and what image will they have of you?
Sunglasses, cap and other accessories
Will the interviewer, seeing you with glasses on your head or a cap, not be able to think that the same would happen if you were serving a customer? Of course yes! This type of accessories should always be kept and the jewelry in the smallest possible number. Do not wear earrings that make noise and piercings are also to be avoided.
Perfumes and creams
The tendency to exaggerate, at this point, results in something it does not intend: to be noticed for the worst reasons. It is recommended to use, but discreetly.
Presentation
The unshaven beard in men and excessive make-up in women, do not contribute at all to a well-groomed image. If it’s hot, odors should be controlled with a good deodorant. Lack of hygiene could result in a missed opportunity!
