Timing has expanded its presence in Portugal’s islands with the opening of an office in Ponta Delgada, at the Solmar shopping centre on the island of São Miguel. The new space provides a local point of contact for companies, candidates and workers in the Azores for recruitment, temporary staffing and human resources management.
The opening of the Ponta Delgada office marked Timing’s arrival in the Azores archipelago, following the company’s expansion to Madeira. Having a physical presence on São Miguel allows Timing to work more closely with companies and professionals in the region.
In 2025, the year it celebrated ten years in business, Timing added Ponta Delgada to its national network. At the time of opening, it was the company’s 12th office and marked a new stage in its geographical growth.
More than simply adding another location, the move to the Azores means building a team in direct contact with the local market. This proximity makes it easier to understand companies’ needs, follow each process closely and communicate with candidates and workers.
Timing’s work in the region spans sectors such as hospitality, construction, retail, logistics and industry, covering both permanent and seasonal hiring needs. The office provides support in areas such as temporary staffing, recruitment and selection, contract management and other human resources solutions.
Commenting on this new stage, Eva Quitério, Director of Operations for the Algarve and Islands at Timing, said:
