During summer 2025, Timing teamed up with Bolinhas do Carlos on a campaign taking jobs in the Algarve to the region’s beaches. The initiative linked seasonal recruitment to a brand that is well known locally and associated with one of the most typical treats of the beach season.
In the Algarve, summer is the busiest time of year for sectors such as hospitality, catering, tourism, retail and services. It is also when many companies expand their teams, creating opportunities for people with different profiles and availability.
It was against this backdrop that Timing joined forces with Bolinhas do Carlos to take its job advertising to one of the places most closely associated with the Algarve summer: the beach.
Through this partnership, Timing promoted seasonal jobs to potential candidates, including part-time and full-time positions and working hours adapted to the needs of the peak season.
Choosing Bolinhas do Carlos gave the campaign a friendly, instantly recognisable identity. Associated with traditional bolas de Berlim (the doughnuts that are a summer staple in Portugal) and a familiar sight on the region’s beaches, the brand made it possible to present job opportunities in a different way, connected to the everyday life of those who live, work or spend the summer in the Algarve.
For Timing, the initiative was a new way of bringing recruitment closer to people. Rather than limiting job advertising to the usual channels, the campaign made it possible to share opportunities in an informal setting directly connected to the region’s seasonal rhythm.
The partnership also strengthened Timing’s ties with the Algarve and its local labour market. In a region shaped by seasonality, reaching candidates directly and at the right time is particularly important to meet companies’ needs during the busiest periods.
More than a communication campaign, the collaboration with Bolinhas do Carlos set out to bring together two things that define summer in the Algarve: the search for workers and life on the region’s beaches.
